Once upon a time…there lived a husband and wife—Shannon and Chris McCarthy. This Lake County duo were enjoying a happy-go-lucky life with four amazing pets (more on them later) and two successful careers in the car business. Then on one day, not unlike any other, they had an “aha” moment and decided to boldly venture into owning a business, be their own boss and harness the power to make people happy 24/7. But what to do?

Back to those adorable fur babies. Meet the couple’s two darling cats Luna and Angel. Chris and Shannon rescued these adorable litter mates who’d been dropped on the side of road, bottle feeding them since they were sickly and underweight. Angel was close to death because she wouldn’t take the bottle. After Chris taught her to swallow, she bonded with him and he became her “mama”. Now four years old, Luna is quite the character and acts as alpha in the home (she even has her own Instagram account, of course). 

The busy household also includes two 100+-pound Rottweilers named Guppy and Apollo who are half-brother and sister, ages 3 and 4 respectively. Chris and Shannon proudly report their lineage dates back to their famous great-great-grandfather, Shaka, who was the first Rottweiler to win the Westminster Dog Show in 2006. 

With all these little ones tracking in mud, dirt, not to mention slobber, Shannon and Chris need to get their carpets and couches cleaned every 3-4 months. Which leads us back to the business idea. When Chris found out a local carpet cleaner was thinking of selling his state-of-the-art van, it struck him that this would be the perfect business to invest their lives in—a clear-cut opportunity to make others happy.

Which brings us to The End of this About Us, only it’s really just the beginning…
